At Food For Thought Therapy, I offer specialist psychological therapy for adults experiencing Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Eating Disorders, Complex PTSD, anxiety and the unique challenges that can accompany neurodivergence.

My approach combines the latest psychological research with genuine human connection. Rather than believing there is one therapy that works for everyone, I work collaboratively with each person to understand their experiences and tailor therapy to their individual needs.

Whether we draw on CBT, Schema Therapy, EMDR or other evidence-based approaches, our work will always begin with understanding you.

I offer therapy both online across the UK and in person in Menai Bridge and Llandudno, North Wales.

Psychotherapy Treatments

Integrative Psychotherapy

Integrative Psychotherapy incorporates Attachment Theory, Person-Centred Approach and elements of CBT. It does not adhere to a single method but instead utilizes a range of evidence-based practices to address unique problems effectively.

CBT

CBT focuses on relationship between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, actively working on changing thoughts and behaviours.

EMDR

EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to help heal from symptoms and emotional distress resulting from disturbing life experiences.

Schema Therapy

Schema Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that helps people change deep-seated patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that are based on early life experiences.

Career

I have always had an interest in Psychology and human behaviours, thoughts and feelings. This passion led me to complete an undergrad degree in Psychology as well as Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy, allowing me to help others.

I spent years being an Integrative Psychotherapist in various services including services specialising in trauma-informed Psychotherapy as well as Eating Disorder services.

After gaining the experience in Integrative Psychotherapy I was keen to learn and develop my skills further. I have completed PgDip in CBT and worked within NHS mental health services, treating depression and anxiety disorders.

I have also completed an additional year specialising in Eating Disorders and I have been working in the Eating Disorder field for over 5 years providing therapy as well as training and supervision.

More recently I have completed Schema Therapy training to expand my knowledge and incorporate a different modality within my Private Practice.

Throughout my training and career I have completed a number of trainings, not only in various modalities but also focusing on particular presentations, including Eating Disorders, OCD and Complex PTSD. I have also completed further training to confidently adapt my practice to neurodivergent individuals. Neurodivergence, in particular, is one of my areas of interest, especially because it is very closely linked to many different challenges and presentations such as ARFID.
